American Equus began organically as a way for founder David Shano to help his daughter, Chloe, stay secure in her stirrups as she moved up the levels in hunters and jumpers. Shano, who owns and manages several engineering and manufacturing firms in Arizona, immediately noticed that there was opportunity to improve upon current stirrup design and production methods around the world. Putting his years of engineering skills and experience to work, he developed a new product that is as safe as it is stylish.

Elite Stirrups from American Equus

The Elite line of stirrups incorporates an ergonomically optimized design that helps to shape a rider's leg around the horse. In addition, the foot beds are designed with unique patent pending traction pins to encourage a rider's boot to find and hold the stirrups with ease.

QUICK X spurs best reflect American Equus' ability to combine innovation and luxury. QUICK X spurs are designed from Billet aluminum and feature patent pending interchangeable shanks in 1/2 inch lengths. These shanks allow a rider to easily change the length of their spurs without dismounting their horse or taking the spur off of their boot! The QUICK X spurs come in a variety of colors and are appropriate for all riders.
